Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an American gymnast was once a part of the Fierce Five 2012 as well as the Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In 2012 the team, she won gold at the team events along with the floor workouts. On the balance beam Raisman earned the bronze medal. In 2012 she was the very first American athlete to win the highest number of medals in the Olympics. The gold medal she won in the Olympics in 2016 marked the second gold in a row for the American team. It made her and fellow teammate Gabby the first Americans - to achieve this accomplishment. Additionally, she was awarded silver medals at the all-around event and floor exercises. After the 2002 Olympics, she stopped for three years gymnastics. She also was one of the gold medal winning American squads at two World Championships. At the age of 2, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favorite sport is floor workouts. Aly is a part of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer Organization to honor and remember her mother. She plans to pursue a career as a designer. She hopes to pursue the expansion of her signature line of leotards. The book she is working on is titled Fierce which will come out in the coming months.
